Irish American Writers and Artists

Irish American Writers and Artists and Union Pacific Railroad Museum co-hosted a Salon to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Trans-Continental Railroad. The event was held on June 1, 2019 in the museum’s beautiful building in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Follow the link to the Irish Echo report on the event.

Lives in St. Louis, Missouri, and is Smurfit-Stone Professor of Irish Studies and Professor of English at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He teaches courses in Irish, Irish-American, and British Literature, directs the UM-St. Louis Irish Summer School in Galway, and serves as the director of the Irish Studies Program.
